Part Description & Details

Each Comp Cams Hi-Tech pushrod in this set is power-forged from 4130 chromemoly. The one piece design features .080 in. wall thickness and they e heat-treated to a minimum hardness of 60 on the Rockwell C scale. Comp Cams even gives them a black oxide finish and imprints the length and part number on them.Specifications: * Diameter: 5/16 in. * Length: 7.800 in. * Thickness: .080 in. * Material: chromemoly * Tip: ball endCOMP Cams® engineers have found that the pushrod is one of the most important members of the valve train and certainly the most taken for granted. Prior to extensive research at COMP Cams®, it was thought that the pushrod only had to be strong enough not to fail, bend or burn up at the ends. Now our engineers have learned that the frequency of the pushrod must match that of all the rest of the parts in the valve train, as well as the rpm at which the engine will be run. Today’s all out race engines demand the highest quality components at every step and COMP Cams® Hi-Tech™ Pushrods fill that requirement.
