By using an aggressive lobe profile this cam provides better throttle response and more top-end horsepower than equivalent cams from other manufacturers while delivering increased engine vacuum.* 50-state legal for 1993 and earlier 396-454 cid. * This part carries CARB E.O.number D-279-4 for use in California.Recommended parts: * Lifters: CCA-812-16 * Valve springs: CCA-911-16 * Retainers: CCA-744-16 * Valve locks: CCA-603-16 * Valve seals: CCA-504-16 * Timing sets: CCA-2110 * Mark V heads must use kit with studs CCA-4514-16 to replace late model pedestalSpecifications: * Advertised duration: 254 intake/262 exhaust * Duration at .050 in. cam lift 210 intake/218 exhaust * Gross valve lift: 505 in. intake/505 in. exhaust * Lobe separation: 111 degrees * RPM range: 1000-5000 * Good low-end mid-range torque and power good idle1965-66 engines need an oiling groove in rear journal of camshaft.Xtreme Energy Cams™ are designed to take advantage of the latest improvements in valve train components and the newest developments in camshaft lobe design.
