Part Description & Details
The Crane Chromemoly Steel Pushrod is made from 4130 chromemoly seamless steel tubing. The ends are precision-made, carburized, heat-treated for strength and wear resistance, and press-fit into the tubing. Some applications are also carbonitride heat-treated to strengthen and harden the tubing for use with or without pushrod guideplates. The diameter of the tubing is 0.2''. The overall length of the intake and exhaust are 7.965'' and 7.965''. In these instances, the ends are spot-welded into the tubing for maximum strength and reliability. The diameter of the top tip and bottom tip is 5/16''. Hardened pushrods must be used with guideplates to prevent premature wear and failure.
