Hypertech 128941 Hypertech PowerChips are direct replacements for the stock chips in 1981-1995 GM vehicles. The Power Chip contains the Hypertech Power Tuning data that controls the engine's air/fuel ratio and spark advance. Fits the following applications: 1989 Chevrolet Camaro, 1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula, 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA

- Increased boost pressures on turbocharged cars
- The ThermoMaster Power Chip permits the use of a low-temperature thermostat for cooler, denser intake charge and lower engine operating temperature resulting in faster acceleration.
- Tunes the engine for maximum power and performance, plus potential gas mileage improvements.
- Allows the vehicle's top speed to be matched to the speed rating of high-performance tires
