Part Description & Details

The KYB GR-2 Gas Strut Assembly is made up of several components, such as the spring, the damper, and the upper A-arm, that usually come separately in a conventional auto suspension. These struts offer a smooth, comfortable ride thanks to velocity-sensitive valving that responds to changing road conditions. Three key features are sintered-iron pistons and guide rods for strength, hard-chrome piston rods for added durability, and seamless cylinders and eyerings that eliminate typical structural weaknesses. GR-2 struts also have a patented check valve that minimizes foaming and aeration in order to maintain control under tough conditions. Suspension systems using KYB struts are more compact than those with a separate spring and shock.
