Auto Meter Lunar Full Sweep Electric Pyrometer Gauge is typically used to measure temperatures of glowing hot metals in a steel mill or foundry. Lunar series gauges feature a bright white dial face, black numbering and a silver bezel. This new lunar series gauge from Auto Meter omits a lovely green luminescent glow provided by a thin layer of phosphor that is exposed to a mild electric charge that is bright enough for night time driving but not overly intrusive. The gauge itself is a high quality item and is a perfect fit with the Auto Meter gauge pod. Full Sweep Electric Gauges are the best gauges available. They are powered by digital microprocessor-controlled, rugged stepper motor drives and laboratory grade sending units. They combine extreme durability and readability of 270 degree sweep mechanical gauges with easy installation and safe operation of short sweep electrics. These units use precision senders to keep hazardous fluids out of the driver compartment and perform gauge calibration and sensor diagnostics at power up for extreme accuracy. Most units are compatible with Auto Meter data logger for the ultimate race info center. They are track tested and race proven.
