Upgrading the tuning chip in your vehicle's onboard computer can increase performance, but the chips in some vehicles were not designed to be replaceable, so Hypertech designed this Power Module to give you the benefits of a chip swap without physically removing the OEM chip. Inside the aluminum housing is a powerful dyno-tuned Power Chip that has been mounted to its own circuit board. By connecting its cable to the vehicle's computer service port, the Power Module will electronically disconnect the stock chip and take control with the improved Power Tuning program. Spark timing and fuel delivery are optimized for your engine to produce more horsepower, higher torque, faster acceleration, and improved throttle response. Depending on the features supported by your vehicle's particular year, make, model, and options, the Power Module may also control the cooling fan on/off temperatures (to help realize the benefits of a cooler running engine), the top-speed limiter (to match the speed rating of high-performance tires), and\or transmission shift firmness (to deliver firmer, full-throttle gear changes).
