The paint used on these headers is for rust prevention during shipping only--it will burn off the header shortly after installation.For the price no other part can give you the horsepower and fuel economy improvements of a Hedman header. Hedman makes their headers so well (18-gauge steel construction) they guarantee them to be free from defects including tube cracks and welds for the life of the header. They include all necessary gaskets and mounting hardware.Required parts: * A/C equipped vehicles require bracket HED-20110. Required modifications: * Modification to the stock exhaust is required to retain the catalytic converter.* Includes parts necessary to retain emission devices (49 states) * For 1964-74 vehicles with A.I.R. systems they e considered O.E.M. replacement parts when existing emission controls are not removed from the vehicle. * 50 state legal for these years only: 1975-80Specifications: * Primary tube diameter: 1 5/8 in. * Collector diameter: 3 in. * Finish: Black * With A.I.R. system * Will not fit with steering damper inside front cross member * Will fit with angle plug heads (Chevy aluminum only)
