The paint used on these headers is for rust prevention during shipping only--it will burn off the header shortly after installation.Specifications: * Primary tube diameter: 1 5/8 in. * Collector diameter: 3 in. * Not for use with smog injection or injection heads * Shorty-style header maximum ground clearance * Will fit with angle plug heads (Chevy aluminum only) * Will not fit 1968-79 283-400 Chevy II/Nova 1964-87 Chevelle/Malibu and 1967-69 Camaro with A/C* Includes parts necessary to retain emission devices (49 state) * For 1946-74 vehicles with A.I.R. systems they e considered O.E.M. replacement parts when existing emissions controls are not removed from the vehicle. * 50 state legal for these years only: 1975-80For the price no other part can give you the horsepower and fuel economy improvements of a Hedman header. Hedman makes their headers so well (18-gauge steel construction) they guarantee them to be free from defects including tube cracks and welds for the life of the header. They include all necessary gaskets and mounting hardware.Required modifications: * Modification to the stock exhaust is required to retain the catalytic converter. * Modification is required to the rotary A/C bracket. Required parts * Vehicles with A/C require bracket HED-20110.
