Metallic catalytic converter cores work better than ceramic cores. Why? Because, for the same emissions control capability, a metallic core will flow 20 - 25% more than a ceramic core. Metallic core converters also feature faster "light off" for lower emissions and they withstand higher heat than ceramic core converters. PaceSetter's MetalCore converters are 4" diameter x 11" long with the popular bullet style and feature a spun stainless steel case for zero leakage. The compact size will fit in most tight applications. They are slip fit for universal use and will 2-1/2" or 3" systems. This high flow Metal Core Converter fits 2-1/2" systems.
