Clutch Kits - Ok, you've spent thousands of dollars assembling your high-powered engine. Now you're ready for a quality clutch kit that can properly transfer that new power to the ground. The ACT Heavy Duty clutch kit is popular with many performance street and racing applications for durability and extended clutch life! The heart of the ACT Heavy Duty clutch kit is ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate; which increases the clamping load from 20%-50% over stock, with a factory to moderate pedal feel. Your next decision is which clutch disc is appropriate for your specific application: The "Stock Street" disc (00) is the best stock replacement disc available. OEM feel with a bump up in performance. The "Street/Strip" disc (SS) incorporates special performance organic friction materials that withstand increased heat and abuse. It also features steel backed linings for high burst strength and is modified for quicker shifting. The "6-puck" (R6) and "4-puck" (R4) Metallic / Ceramic discs are optimal for Road / Drag / Rally or Drift Racing. Their quick engagement and superior holding strength is ideal for track use when performance is essential, although they are not recommended for street use due to harsh engagement. The ACT Heavy Duty clutch kit is finished off with the pilot & release bearings, (if applicable) and clutch alignment tool (if applicable) creating a convenient all-in-one package.
